I decided that the best way to go about researching was to find a topic that I was truly interested in, I didn't want to just throw myself into a project and in 5/6 weeks time completely regret it. As a result I decided that I should take each of the 9 initial topics from the three lists, I will then find 10 subtopics from each of these, giving me a total of 90 topics to choose from. Having 90 initial topics means I should hopefully be able to find something original, that /i have an interest in and will give me plenty to research over the next 10 weeks.
